The Just Antigua team has visited all the properties that we offer so we can give personal advice on which will suit each particular client the best. We have been to the bars and restaurants too – and the sights and attractions – done the hikes, been on the boats, shopped in the mini-markets and met the locals…that’s how we have acquired such detailed knowledge of the island and what it can offer . . .

Gerry Copsey – Chairman

It’s 30 plus years in the travel business now and I enjoy it just as much as ever. We really do have delightful clients and it is such a pleasure to deal with them – it is a privilege to have the trust of so many guests who come back to us again and again.

I am also privileged to work with such an amazing team of staff – I marvel at their knowledge and ability to arrange wonderful holidays and their dedication to customer service of the highest possible standard never waivers. The team below are the very heartbeat of the business.

I am delighted to be launching our new programme in Antigua – it is a beautiful island with a character all of it’s own. I am often asked which is my favourite island in the Caribbean? Impossible to say but I have some much-loved spots for a cold beer in the early evening – on recent visits to Antigua I have discovered wonderful sunset haunts like Catherines on Pigeon beach or Cloggies in Falmouth harbour. These are the little hideaways I dream of on a rainy day in Somerset. Not forgetting the endless list of beautiful beaches….

Janet Copsey – Director

I share the same ideals that Gerry has about customer service and also the personal touches – which our clients love. I share Gerry’s affection for Antigua and I especially love the beaches of the west coast – it’s fabulous! I was born by the sea in North Wales so I am drawn to beaches – and strolling along somewhere like Morris Bay with the waves gently lapping on my toes is heaven for me.

All the islands we cover have their hidden gems and I like nothing more than sharing these little secrets with our clients.

Mandy Burten – Managing Director

Much of my working life has been spent in travel, either in tour operating or as a travel agent, but it’s nice to be part of a small specialist company where there is so much attention to detail.  We have become real experts at creating unique multi-centre holidays – some of which just focus on different regions of one island whilst others involve seeing more than one island in the same holiday. I love the challenge of putting these trips together and making sure all the connections are smooth and seamless, and it is so rewarding when all the pieces of the jigsaw come together and they always do in the end!

Adding Antigua to our ever-growing portfolio seemed like a natural progression; it will combine brilliantly with St Kitts & Nevis and several other islands that we feature.  Each island is so different but Antigua’s super friendly people, warm sunshine and cooling breezes plus amazing sandy beaches and turquoise seas got me hooked at first sight.

Belinda Brendon – Holiday expert

Some may call me a travel bore … I prefer to be classed as a travel addict! I love to travel to new places and have already fallen for Antigua. I have a passion for arranging holidays for other people and I really enjoy creating itineraries to help people get the best out of the Caribbean. When I go on holiday I feel that I have to explore and look round every corner just in case I miss something but the draw of Antigua for me is the slow pace, and fabulous beaches with good food and hospitality. If you can’t sit still for too long – like my husband – then you can throw in a bit of history, a spot of pottering or even a visit to another island. Antigua might be the island that converts me to an All Inclusive stay …to switch off and completely relax.


Kate Bartlett – Administration Manager

I joined the team here in 2002 and it has been really pleasing to see the Caribbean programme develop and grow as we have added more and more islands to the Just Grenada Group.  My main role is overseeing the administration of holiday arrangements, but I also love arranging holidays for clients using my knowledge of the islands that I have visited. In an age where lots of people just want to click a mouse to arrange their lives, it is nice to find so many people who would rather talk to a real person with knowledge – especially about something so important as a big holiday.

I am yet to visit Antigua, but after hearing the reports from Gerry & Janet and Mandy & Belinda who have been, I can’t wait to go!…now where’s my suitcase!

Laura Carpenter – Administration

I have always worked in the travel industry ever since leaving school at the tender age of 16! I have previously worked as a travel consultant and also as a business travel consultant for many years, which I really enjoyed. I then had a ”career break” for a short while I started my very own family. Once my son & daughter were old enough to start school, I was then able (and ready!) to get back into the travel industry, and in 2012 I was lucky enough to start working for Just Grenada!

I deal with the administration of our clients’ holidays ensuring that all the i’s are dotted and t’s crossed. It is the detail which counts so much – reserving the best seats on the plane, arranging comfortable and convenient transfers and of course making sure we reserve the very best rooms! I especially love to travel and hope to visit Antigua sometime in the very near future… it looks fabulous!

Ange Ripley – Admin Assistant

I joined Planos Holidays in 2002 and worked on the administration of holidays to the Greek island of Paxos. I really enjoyed being part of the travel industry but left in 2006 to have my children – two lively young boys! I was delighted however when the opportunity arose to re-join the administration team of what is now the Just Grenada Group in 2017. It is great to see how the company has grown and evolved over the years and I’m really looking forward to getting to know the Caribbean…perhaps a visit?


Our newest addition to the team, Eddie…

One year old now and a real character. A Spaniel/Labrador cross and he has the qualities of both breeds, but being a youngster he still has occasional lapses – and the chewed computer cables and telephone wires are proof of that.

Archie RIP . . .

Our little man, who has been on every newsletter and all our websites for 14 years, has gone where the good doggies go. A faithful and constant companion who was with us for what seems like a lifetime, the office will never be quite the same – and nor will we…….  RIP little chum

Our Team on Antigua

Our representatives in Antigua are  – National Tours & Services – a well-known local company owned by Stanley Francis who is assisted by Allison James. Allison and her team will be on hand to assist you in any way possible during your stay. They will arrange courteous drivers to meet you at the airport to take you to your chosen hotel.

National Tours will be available throughout your stay to assist you and to advise you about ways in which to get the most out of your holiday. They organise an excellent range of tours and trips and we will send you details of these excursions with your travel documents. You can see more detailed information by looking at

In the unlikely event of anything going wrong during your stay the staff at National Tours will be your first point of contact – they will give you 24-hour contact phone numbers when you arrive at the airport.

We encourage you to call the office with any questions you may have or to arrange any tours etc but also bear in mind that your hotel staff will be more than happy to help with local information and excursions.

We are delighted to be a supporter of this excellent charity. It is so simple – when you are packing for your holiday, just pack a small bag with things that are desperately needed by charities in the islands – light things like pens and pencils, soft toys etc are especially welcome in the children’s homes – and it can be collected from you at the airport.
