Special Events, Festivals and Carnival

Even if you stay on the beach all day, we think every day your holiday should be a bit special.

Antigua is safe and friendly to explore, and you will enjoy mixing with the locals at any of the events listed below – our local representatives (National Tours) will help you to enjoy any of these events to the full.

Special events

  • Antigua Hash House Harriers: Every other Saturday
  • Antigua Yacht Club “Mini Dinghy Regattas”: Every second Sunday
  • Jolly Harbour Yacht Club:  Weekly Saturday Sailing
  • Copper and Lumber Seafood Fridays: Every Friday
  • Shirley Heights “Made with Pride in Antigua”: Every Thursday from December – April
  • Shirley Heights Sunset BBQ Party: Every Sunday

From 4.00pm the sweet pulsating rhythms of the steel band accompany mouth-watering smells of the barbecue. Spectacular sunsets are standard party fare and the much talked about green flash really can be seen! At 7.00pm the entertainment changes and some of the island’s finest party bands are featured until 10.00pm.
